Wintery Goodness

So 2010 is shaping up to be quite an awesome year for music. With Vampire Weekend topping the charts and quality releases from Spoon and dynamic duos on the cusp of greatness, I’d say 2010 was a pretty good year if tomorrow was New Years. An’ weez got ten more months to go! Here’s a quick round-up of some of the more eclectic yet AMAZING new releases since the ball dropped and we all saw how orange Dick Clark was.

Starting clockwise from top left:
1. Yeasayer – Odd Blood. This sophomore album is fun glitchy electro pop trio.
2. Beach House – Teen Dream. Gorgeous vocals and adventurous guitar that’s not to be missed.
3. Build An Ark – Love Pt. 1. LA based jazz ensemble super-group with a rotating cast of 30 artists creates pure beauty.
4. Gil Scott-Heron – I’m New Here. Fresh out of prison, this American poet and musician’s newest album was the centering force he needed to return to form after a 13 year absence.

Gotta collect ‘em all! Pok-e-mon!
