Logorama
Check out this amazing 16 minute short film directed by the French animation collective H5. This piece was presented at the Cannes Film Festival 2009, opened the 2010 Sundance Film Festival, and won the 2010 Academy Award for animated shorts.
The entire world in this film is composed of corporate logos and wordmarks: flora, fauna, infrastructure, and citizens, over 2000 logos in all. Apart from the logo gimmick, I’m amazed by how quickly the creators get you into the story and convey so much in such a short time – a feat I admire in most quality short films.
Here’s a great interview with the creators of Logorama if you’re interested.
P.S. This is a full fledged action flick filled with classic archetypes (gratuitous cursing included) – so if you’re offended by such, switch off now.
