…..Aaaaand we’re back!
…from vacation, that is. Denver was on its best behavior for us. Clear sunny skies, awesome food, and mega fun times with the fam. It was Curt’s parents’ first time to Colorado and I think they kinda loved it!
I spent a hefty chunk of my time helping my sister get the baby’s room ready. She wanted something contemporary and different… and on a budget. Right up my alley! I did some research and found these rooms, which we used for inspiration. I think we did pretty well considering we pretty much decorated and furnished the whole room for under $500. The tree was my personal project, and I didn’t quite get the chance to completely finish it (it just needs a few more leaves at the top) so I think my mom’s going to drop by to finish it next week. The wall color is Glidden’s Spring Cactus and it is sooooo gorgeous in person. It’s the perfect happy/calming shade of green. The bedding is by Dwell Studio from Target, and the little outfit is from Lucky Jade.
I’ll be going back out to Denver for a few days when Jonah’s born, so I’ll try to snap a few pictures of the final result. I *think* I’ve talked Heather and Michael into hunting down a vintage dresser and painting it a deep burnt orange. I always love a crazy unexpected accent color… just ask my purple shoes.
