cheese n’ mac

I say that because there was definitely way more cheese than mac in this creamy, gooey, artery-clogging monstrosity.

I used this recipe and while we found it quite delicious, we admittedly have unreasonably high standards for mac n’ cheese (see here and here). I think using shells instead of elbows was a good choice (cuz they make little cheese pockets), and the panko crumbs definitely added a nice crunch, but we need to play around with the cheese varieties.

Have you ever made a fancy version of mac n’ cheese? What recipe did you use? Do tell.

  4. I’m from Texas and we have high standards for mac n cheese too. Whenever we have group dinners, my friends always ask me to make this – but I recommend using the big package of cream cheese(i think 8 oz)..believe me, it’s worth it!
